Your Privacy Is Important
This statement outlines the Grow Fit Fund’s Policy on how Grow Fit Fund uses and manages personal information provided to or collected by it.
Grow Fit Fund is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Commonwealth Privacy Act and is compliant with the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.
Grow Fit Fund may, from time to time, review and update this Privacy Policy to take account of new laws and technology, changes to Grow Fit Fund’s operations and practices and to make sure it remains appropriate to the changing legal environment.
Purpose:
The primary purpose for collecting personal information is to provide goods or services to Grow Fit Fund participants or Grow Fit Fund donors or sponsors.
The type of personal information that Grow Fit Fund collects will depend on the relationship with Grow Fit Fund (e.g. as a participant, donor, business partner, employee, volunteer, member, client or on line user of the Grow Fit Fund website).
Grow Fit Fund usually collects personal information directly from the individual. However, Grow Fit Fund sometimes collects personal information from a third party such as a teacher, or authorised representative or from a publicly available source.
Grow Fit Fund will only do this if:
-You have consented to such collection or would reasonably expect Grow Fit Fund to collect personal information in this way.
-It is necessary for a specific purpose.
-Grow Fit Fund will only collect personal information for purposes that are reasonably necessary, for one or more of Grow Fit Fund functions or activities.
Use:
Your personal information may be used to:
-Provide you with goods or a service
-Provide you with educational information on GrowFit Fund
-Report to government or other funding bodies how the funding is used
-Process your purchase and provide receipts or donation
-Communicate with you about how your donation is used or about GrowFit Fund services, causes, events, products and services, which we believe may be of interest to you
-Respond to your feedback or complaints
-Answer your queries
Protection:
Wherever possible Grow Fit Fund uses information in a de-identified form.
Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without your permission, except where permitted under the Privacy Act.
Grow Fit Fund will take all reasonable steps to protect any personal, sensitive or health information along with government-related identifiers against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
You can apply to access the personal information that Grow Fit Fund holds about you, and you can ask Grow Fit Fund to correct any personal information, which you believe to be incorrect.
If you are listed on one or more of Grow Fit Fund’s network email lists, you can unsubscribe by using the ‘unsubscribe’ options on the website or noted in emails.

If you have any concerns, complaints or you think there has been a breach of privacy, then also please contact the National Manager who will first deal with you usually over the phone.
If we then have not dealt satisfactorily with your concerns we will meet with you to discuss further.
